Does your senior living facility live up to the current standards? Consider these tips for assisted living when upgrading your facility and measuring it against the competition.
When a search begins for somewhere to live, seniors and their families consider first the reputation of a place and also the location. There are great websites available with reviews and information on amenities that seniors can search to find a home with the reputation that they desire. And many factors go into the location – is it close to loved ones or far away? Convenient for visitors? Close to a pharmacy?
Other factors in narrowing the decision are quality of medical care and facilities and amenities. Obviously quality of care is huge for seniors as this may become increasingly important as they age. But what about things like holistic care? And how is the sense of community and available activities, especially as more and more studies point to the benefits of social interaction in regards to longevity.
Lastly, how well do the staff treat their residents? Are staff given what they need to do the job properly and without high levels of stress?
